Fort Peck Energy Company is a co-partnered energy company owned by the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana and Native American Resource Partners (NARP) headquartered in Utah.

The company was created as a vehicle for the Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation to identify and develop natural resource opportunities on Tribal lands. By partnering with NARP, the Tribes can actively participate in the development of their natural resources by capitalizing on the commercial rights associated with energy projects in addition to their existing passive sources of income normally generated by a standard lessor/lessee relationship.

Together with NARP and Quantum Energy Partners in Houston, the Tribes now have the ability to drive resource economic development on the Fort Peck Reservation, create entrepreneurial and job opportunities for their membership, and develop the necessary expertise to propel them to long-term financial independence by developing their resources themselves.
